Are you a ACAD technician, looking for an exciting new challenge in India? Buro Happold is looking for a ACAD Technician from an architectural or engineering, production and delivery background and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package plus a hybrid working pattern.
They will work as part of the Facades team & shall support the job leader & façade engineer on project specific drawing deliveries, he shall demonstrate willingness to be groomed to specialise in the areas of digital delivery and BIM, working with team members to drive implementation of best practice as well as our BIM policy. The objective is to make working with BIM workflows efficient and Business as Usual for all applicable projects and to work together to develop increasingly streamlined and automated approaches to their project delivery.
Key duties:
• Working closely with the Facades team to deliver high quality ACAD drafting details to agreed deadlines.
• Working closely with the Facades team in standardisation process to ensure rapid & quality drawing delivery.
• Create detailed façade Revit family groups and CAD details.
• Producing detailed, coordinated Revit models to a high level of detail wherever applicable.
• Providing guidance and advice to team members on the use of ACAD/ Revit techniques
• Involvement in a wide variety of project types including medium to large scale projects.
• Engaging with the wider Buro Happold BIM community to foster inter-office relationships and improvement of global processes.
Your skills & experience:
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in Architectural / Façade Consultancy firm.
• Should be able to read & grasp architectural drawings fluently.
• Awareness of different type of façade systems, cladding systems & materials will be added advantage.
• Experience working in architecture, construction, façade field.
• Experience working with Autodesk Products (Revit, AutoCAD 2D / 3D).
• Experience working with Rhino desirable but not essential.
• knowledge of Revit Families (creating and editing) shall be an added advantage.
• Experience on working on large scale projects desirable but not essential.
• Experience on working on BIM360/ACC desirable but not essential.
• Sound communication skills, willingness to work as part of a team, not being afraid to discuss your ideas and way of thinking.
• A proactive approach to your own learning and technical development.
• A keen interest in the implementation of digital design tools and scripting to improve efficiency and workflows.
• Experience and awareness of Dynamo or other automation practices would be advantageous but not essential.
• Experience in Architectural or Structural discipline.
• Ideally HNC, HND, BEng/BArch or in a relevant discipline.
