Job Description
HIT Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Facilitator to support and guide learners in a dynamic educational environment. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people. This position provides an opportunity to support experienced facilitators while gaining hands-on experience in planning and delivering impactful sessions.
The role is primarily based within the Pontypool Borough and surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere and supporting the effective delivery of tailored educational programmes.

Key responsibilities
Assist in crafting and delivering tailored training sessions, utilising diverse teaching strategies to engage and empower learners.
Collaborate on designing innovative lesson plans, incorporating various teaching styles and interactive activities.
Provide support and guidance to learners as they work toward their milestones or desired outcomes.
Actively participate in community outreach initiatives to expand program reach and impact.
Help establish stimulating and inclusive learning environments that promote participation and collaboration.
Conduct regular well-being checks and contribute to monthly reports on learner progress.
Work closely with the broader support network to ensure optimal outcomes for learners.
Assist in identifying and promoting progression opportunities for participants.
Support learners’ mental health and well-being through attentive, compassionate engagement.
Contribute to the delivery of educational experiences across multiple settings, including classrooms, community venues, and residential environments.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse learners.
Creative and adaptable approach to problem-solving and facilitation.
Organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Empathy and a proactive attitude toward supporting learner well-being.
Basic knowledge of educational tools and technology, with a willingness to learn new methods and techniques.
Qualifications and Experience:
A Levels or equivalent (higher education qualifications are an advantage). Life Skills will be considered
Interest in training, education, or facilitation.
Experience in care, coaching, teaching, or community work is beneficial but not required.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Organisational abilities, with attention to detail and time management.
Adaptability and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to tasks.
Basic technical proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office and presentation software.
