Full job description
Assist in managing the construction, upgrading, repairs and maintenance for retail locations.

Help manage Company facilities, physical plants and store locations in accordance with Company standards, government regulations and environmental health and safety standards. Perform maintenance, upgrades and repairs as needed to insure uninterrupted business flow and maximum commercial performance and to insure the safety of company employees. Report / repair all safety hazards noted in Company locations

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work at all times with the Company Values of Honesty, Enthusiasm, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork

Ø Use own tools and transportation to respond to essential repair requests

Ø Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise

Ø Manage facility and operational costs; control expenses

Ø Inspect retail stores; report and repair any and all safety issues or potential safety hazards

Ø Confirm all necessary permits and approvals from governing municipalities for work-related projects. Attend all required inspections.

Ø Prioritize projects and work requests (tickets) as directed; schedule and perform work accordingly

Ø Project Management: supervise and coordinate work of outside contractors and vendors; review and approve invoices as appropriate. Insure work quality and deliver maximum value vs. expenditures

Ø Initiate and supervise planned maintenance projects

Ø Manage preventive maintenance initiatives of facilities, HVAC, equipment, etc.

Ø Conduct inspections of facilities; report & correct deficiencies as budgeted

Ø Suggest future development consistent with Company business objectives

Ø Order supplies as needed with approval from Facilities Manager

Ø Other duties as directed

POSITION: ASSISTANT FACILITIES MANAGER

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ø Facilities and property management

Ø Vendor management

Ø Carpentry, contracting, construction and hands-on repair, maintenance and renovation skills

Ø Interpersonal, communication and negotiating proficiency

Ø Project and Time Management

Ø Building services engineering

Ø Attention to detail

Ø Teamwork skills; ability to manage, supervise and motivate others

Ø Leadership, planning and fulfillment skills

Ø Valid driver’s license and appropriate auto insurance

CLASSIFICATION STATUS:

Exempt, full time. The position may require overnight on-call duty and the ability to work during nonstandard hours when the need arises.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and retail environments and is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach and lift with hands and arms.

Physical requirements include reading, writing, sitting, standing, communicating with staff and coworkers, visual acuity, lifting, working a computer keyboard and screen and proficiency with tools. These and other physical requirements must be met by employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
