About the role...
As an Automatic Door/Gate Technician at Talbot Auto Doors, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated doors, gates and shutters across the greater Brisbane region. This full-time role is a hands-on position that requires a strong technical skillset and a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with our customers to ensure their Auto Door, Gate and Roller Shutter assets are operating safely and efficiently.
What you'll be doing
Install, service, and repair a variety of automatic door, gate and shutter systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with electrical, mechanical, and software components
Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to prevent malfunctions
Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice
Maintain detailed records of all work performed
Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards
What we're looking for
Minimum 1-2 years' experience as an Automatic Door/Gate Technician or in a similar trade type role
Practical hands on aptitude with a solutions orientated aptitude
A sound working knowledge of automated door and gate systems, including electrical, mechanical, and software components
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
A valid driver's licence
