Mō te Tūranga | About the role:
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Facility Manager to lead the delivery of maintenance, compliance and operational excellence across our Hamilton site. This is a leadership role where you’ll take ownership of the building, plant and specialist equipment—ensuring everything is safe, compliant, and performing at its best.
You’ll lead a team of maintenance technicians and work closely with contractors and key stakeholders across the business to deliver both planned and reactive maintenance. From managing complex systems to driving continuous improvement initiatives, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our site operating to the high standards we’re known for.
A snapshot of what you’ll be doing:
Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing Building Services team
Managing maintenance programmes across building, plant, and equipment to ensure compliance with building codes and BWOF requirements
Overseeing contractors and ensuring strong performance, safety and service delivery
Driving a proactive approach to repairs and maintenance, balancing operational needs with long-term asset performance
Managing budgets, labour and resources effectively, while identifying efficiencies and cost improvements
Championing health, safety and compliance, including permits to work, safe work practices and associated documentation
Hands on support for the Building Services team and the wider business when required, for example supporting maintenance programs, participation in capital development projects and gaming projects

You’re a confident and capable leader with a strong technical background in building services or facilities management. You enjoy being hands-on, thrive on solving problems, and know how to bring out the best in your team.
You’ll bring a mix of technical expertise, commercial awareness, and people leadership—along with a genuine commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Proven experience in building services, facilities or plant maintenance, with strong knowledge of compliance and building codes
A relevant trade qualification and solid technical grounding across electrical, mechanical or general building systems
Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to engage, motivate and develop teams
Strong contractor and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships
Experience using maintenance systems (e.g. ServiceNow, BMS or similar)
A sound understanding of health & safety practices, including risk assessments and safe work procedures
Financial awareness, including managing budgets and identifying efficiencies
Above all, you’ll be someone who takes pride in your work, leads by example, and is passionate about creating safe, high-performing environments.
