Living and Working in the Flinders and Upper North Region - Hawker


About the Role:

As a Facilities Services Officer, you will provide building and maintenance services across the Hawker and Leigh Creek Health Services, utilising a high level of inspectorial and related trade skills. Accountable to the Executive Officer/Director of Nursing, you will deliver hands-on maintenance services and support the safe and effective operation of facilities, plant and equipment.

In this role, you will supervise and coordinate contractors undertaking maintenance and repair work, while also managing associated administrative duties. You will contribute to asset management through scheduling maintenance programs, overseeing testing and tagging, monitoring asbestos, and supporting contract implementation. The role also includes responsibility for the implementation and development of the hospital’s fire safety and internal emergency plans.

About You:

Experience in the use of computers and applications/programs.
Experience in the evaluation, selection and purchase of plant and equipment, experience in reading and working to technical drawings.
Previous experience in building maintenance or engineering field.
Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category B (indirect contact with blood or body substances)

This is a part time vacancy, working 37.5 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
