Recess is Houston’s first elevated family retreat, designed as a space where parents can relax, connect, and work while children engage in thoughtfully designed play experiences onsite.
We are seeking detail-oriented, professional, and highly dependable Facility Team Members to maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall presentation of our space. Our families expect an exceptional level of care, cleanliness, and attention to detail. This role requires pride in your work, consistency, and a strong sense of responsibility.
This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling, including daytime, afternoon, and evening weekend shifts.
• Evening and weekend availability is required (primarily Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
• Background check required
Key Responsibilities (to include, but not limited to):
• Maintain a consistently clean, sanitized, and well-organized facility, including play areas, restrooms, and common spaces such as party rooms
• Follow all sanitation protocols and cleaning procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children and families
• Proactively monitor the space throughout shifts, addressing spills, messes, and high-touch surfaces promptly
• Support daily opening and/or closing cleaning routines
• Communicate professionally with team members to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently upheld
• Model professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail at all times
Qualifications
• Previous experience in cleaning, facilities, hospitality, or similar roles preferred
• Strong attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness
• Dependable, punctual, and responsible
• Ability to work independently and stay on task
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Comfortable working in an active environment with children present
