Roles and Responsibilities
Major Activities / Tasks
I. Drive accounting and book keeping by
reviewing invoices, maintaining support
documents and benchmarking wish best
practices in Industry in order to ensure
accurate and timely book keeping
Co-ordination with other departments to receive
invoices and ensure updation of accounts
Review, monitor and approve invoices booked for
correct G/L, cost centre , taxes and other deductions
Maintain all supporting documents for Accounts for
Audit and Tax purpose including month end entries,
Journal vouchers, Fixed asset accounting etc
Identify, review and make adequate provisions to
reflect true and fair view of Books of account"
II. Monitor arrangement of data / reports for
Taxation activities and Audits by providing
required data for tax return filling and resolving
queries in order to ensure proper compliance
of applicable laws and audit queries
Provide for all the data and other requirements data
for Taxation return filing, assessments & internal /
statutory audits
Satisfactorily resolve queries raised by authorities /
auditors
Provide supporting data, information and documents
within timelines"
III. Support financial planning by reviewing cost
allocation and apportionment to various cost
centres like QC and R&D to present true and
fair view of accounts
Establish robust communication channels across
functions to support various initiatives to streamline
processes, reduce costs and maintain operational
efficiencies
Co-ordinate& consult technical teams to ensure timely
updation of records, MIS and conclusion of audits&
assessments"
IV. Ensure interdepartmental co-ordination by
establishing communication across channels
and depts. to maintain proper records, provide
MIS and conclude audits
Establish robust communication channels across
functions to support various initiatives to streamline
processes, reduce costs and maintain operational
efficiencies
Co-ordinate& consult technical teams to ensure timely
updation of records, MIS and conclusion of audits&
assessments"
V. Manage Cash Payments by monitoring that
petty cash payments are under stipulated
limits, Preparation of cash vouchers and
maintaining adequate cash balance to ensure
minimum days with idle cash
Make petty cash payments within limits stipulated
under Income tax Act & employee payments as
prescribed
Preparation of cash vouchers as per DoA and keeping
proper records for all payments
Maintain adequate cash balance and make
arrangements of Funds as per requirement"
VI. Co-ordinate with Bank to complete banking
transactions, explore ways to avail bank
facilities in order to reduce banking turn around
time
Develop working relationships with banks for smooth
workflow
Complete banking transactions within banking hours
and avoid delays in payment cycle
Explore ways & means to avail better bank Facilities

VII. Compliances & generation of reports by
ensuring adherence to policies and SOPs to
achieve timely completion of assessments
