Job Summary:
The Factory Manager will oversee all daily operations of the factory, ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role includes managing staff, planning production schedules, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:
Plan, organize, and oversee production schedules and activities.
Ensure the efficient operation of the factory by monitoring production processes and adjusting schedules as needed.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure production targets and deadlines are met.
Staff Management:
Supervise and manage factory workers, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
Promote a positive work environment and culture.
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
Quality Control:
Ensure that production meets quality standards and specifications.
Implement and monitor quality control systems to detect and resolve production issues.
Health and Safety:
Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
Resource Management:
Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Factory Manager or in a similar managerial role.
Strong knowledge of production management, quality control, and health and safety standards.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a related field.
Certification in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
Work Environment:
The role requires regular presence on the factory floor.
May require occasional evening and weekend work to meet production deadlines.
