Job Description
We are seeking for family physicians to be part of our North Downsview FHO (Currently 4 physicians on-site). We strive to provide comprehensive family medicine to patients of all ages, focusing on preventative care, treatment of acute and chronic issues, minor procedures, and promoting holistic well-being.
Organization Highlight:
Well-established and efficiently managed family medicine clinic:
- extensive administrative support including assistance with billing, referrals, vitals, specimen handling, appointment scheduling, patient inquiries, patient education, preventative care tracking, roster management such as outside use and rostering optimization.
- Overhead: cost-sharing model among the clinicians, where a fixed percentage of each physician’s income would be paid to cover for cost running the clinic. Surplus and deficits are assessed regularly.
- Income stabilization for suitable candidates
- Work/pay balance: Clinic opens 6 days a week from * am to 8 pm, physician can flexibly set own schedule and visit duration with a mix of in-person and virtual patient care.
- Collegial group: ready to support any joining physician including new medical school gradudates to new physicians to the Canadian Healthcare system.
- Successfully onboard 3 physicians in the past 2 years to desired roster-size.
- Large number of patients seeking family physician due retiring physicians in the community
- EMR: Avaros, with features including online booking, patient emailing, IT support, AI Scribe.
- Assistance to get hospital privileges, academic teaching appointment with University of Toronto, becoming a member of the Northwestern Toronto Primary Care Network, etc.
- Convenient location: close to HWY 401, TTC access -bus stop outside, free parking on site. Medical building has an imaging clinic, laboratory, specialists, and a pharmacy.
- Recently renovated clinic, including examination rooms furnished with medical tools and computer in a turn-key set-up ready for operation.
- Opportunities to mentor if desired: teaching medical students, guiding and mentoring pre-med students that volunteer at the clinic.
Applicant Qualifications:
CFPC, CPSO active, CMPA coverage, Eligible to work under Ministry of health FHO agreement.
