Responsibilities
Supervises and participates in the work performed by employees, beneficiaries and/or community service workers in the warehouse
Ensures that all donated items are processed through the warehouse in a timely manner and in accordance with established standards; receives, sorts and stores donated items in the warehouse storage area; determines the acceptability of donated items based on established standards; controls and supervises bailing of ragged material
Serves as a lead worker to beneficiaries and community service workers and volunteers
Control and supervise bailing of all ragged material
Monitors the arrival and distribution of all donations ensuring that items reach the appropriate destinations in a timely manner
Monitor the supply of items available in the warehouse in order to determine the areas needing additional stock, Tag and price items with dates in accordance with established procedures
Pack items in boxes and mark boxes; accordingly, assists in transporting boxes to appropriate storage area; Prepare non-suitable items for discard
Lists and carries items to the appropriate destination for further processing and storage
Maintains warehouse and loading dock area in a neat and orderly manner; cleans floors, tables and work areas
Maintain inventory of items in storage; respond to request form the Corps administration for furnishings, equipment, and supplies
Discourages any unauthorized visitors in the warehouse area; reports any known entries after hours or missing items
Ensure that the forklift is maintained in proper working order, fueled and ready for use; maintain service records; acquire bids for repairs when necessary
Assist in preparing receipts for items received from vendors and donors
Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis
Distance of travel is usually within the same building; Ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull heavy objects (50 -100 lbs)

About This Opportunity
This position opens and closes the warehouse daily. Supervises and participates in the work performed by employees, beneficiaries and/or community service workers in the warehouse.
