F|amp| B Retail Sales Executive
The F&B Retail Salesperson will assist customers who come to Bombay Sweet Shop with their purchase. He / She will create the Bombay Sweet Shop experience by engaging with customers by explaining the concept of the brand and the sweets – and recommend items as per the customer’s preference and liking. This includes conducting small sample sessions and any other aspects. He/She is responsible for the maintaining the sales displays and visual merchandise and ensure the area is kept tidy for customers to enter. This role will have limited administrative duties, but requires the Salesperson to follow up on purchases and maintain databases.
This role will report to the Operations Manager and will attend at Bombay Sweet Shop, Bandra.
Our flagship restaurant, The Bombay Canteen showcases the wealth of India’s cuisine by recreating local, seasonal dishes and reinterpreting age old Indian culinary traditions in a frequently changing menu. Our next venture, O Pedro, pays homage to the energy of Goa in a menu that brings back the fun of tropical living with simple, sophisticated food and drink, with influences from the state’s Portuguese history. Our latest venture, Bombay Sweet Shop is a modern day mithai shop which brings back the magic of mithai in a never seen before avatar, in a fun and contemporary way, while staying deeply rooted in traditions and techniques.
The Bombay Canteen and O Pedro are currently ranked among Indias top 10 restaurants by Condé Nast Traveler India.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited
to the following:
• Greet customers and understand their wants or needs by talking to or observing him or her.
• Explain customers about products available and how to customize items for special occasions etc.
• Assist with any queries and go the extra mile.
• Sampling sessions of Mithai for customers.
• Tours of the space and sharing of concept of the brand
• Help with billing, process payments.
• Set up and maintain merchandise displays.
• Upsell promotional items
• Receive bulk order queries and take down all information for the Sales Manager to get in touch.
• Collect guest feedback & maintain customer database.
• Have an in - depth understanding of the products, processes and packaging and keep her/ himself updated on new items.
• Assist in Packing of products.
Requirements
• 2 years experience in a sales role preferred
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written, fluent English preferred)
• Great interpersonal skills
• Good selling skills
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft office)
• Diploma preferred
