Farm Worker in an Avocado Farm
Joe Bendotti & Co (ABN 13 571 +8+ 872) operates as a large family business over 3 properties, with Hass avocado orchards covering over 100 hectares. We supply avocados to some of the largest fresh produce retailers in Australia with high domestic demand for our distinguished fruit. The business is located at 243 Golf Links Road in Pemberton, WA.
We are seeking an experienced Farm Worker who holds an AQF Certificate I, or has at least 1 year of previous full-time work experience in an avocado farm.
As a Farm Worker, your everyday responsibilities include:
Injecting avocado trees with a fungicide
Spraying chemicals for disease
Mulching limbs that have been pruned from the avocado trees
Harvesting avocados
Packing avocados
Managing the quality of the Avocado’s whilst packing
Repairing & establishing fences
Working with different farm machinery to complete the relevant daily tasks
Bin running
In addition, the right candidate will be required to hold:
· An Australian Drivers Licence
This is a causal position under the horticulture award (MA000028)
