Fashion Content Writer

Job Description: We are looking for highly motivated Fashion Content Writers to join our team. Responsibility: • Developing content for blogs, articles, product descriptions, social media, and the company website • Identify conversations that can be developed into content pieces with a strong impact • Research industry-related topics in the fashion and lifestyle domains (combining online sources, interviews, and studies) • Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems • Coordinate with marketing and design teams to create final articles • Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase engagement • Identify customer’s needs and gaps in our content and recommend contemporary topics • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone) • Ideate and develop content topics that are essentially needed but not being highlighted in the industry Skills and requirements: • We don't want to limit potential candidates based on their experience (though it's always a plus), but they should have a knack for writing • A background in fashion communication or journalism is a plus too • Excellent command of English alongside proofreading and editing skills • Candidate should have extensive knowledge of the fashion industry and familiarity with the current trends as well as established and emerging artists, designers etc across various fields • Ability to navigate and articulate short-form as well as long-form content with ease • Effective communication skills to contact, coordinate and interact with industry professionals • Ability to understand and adapt to the brand language and ideate and produce content accordingly • Ability to produce clean and concise copy without compromising essential and factual information • An eye for detail, strong research, and fact-checking skills • Proactive in their role with the ability to multi-task and take ownership of the creative product Company Overview: Blur the Border is an upcoming fashion and lifestyle, content-to-commerce platform looking at curating, niche Indian, and global brands.
