Job Description
We seek a creative and energetic Fashion Designer who can assist our founder in producing high-quality designs. As a fashion designer, you should first know the principles of design & textiles in the fashion industry. In addition, you should be able to employ this knowledge in creating aesthetically pleasing & functional apparel designs on paper.
Responsibilities:
• Provide both creative and practical support by pooling ideas and handling office work.
• Perform extensive market research
• to understand competitive opportunities.
• to identify upcoming trends, fabrics, and techniques and seek design inspiration.
• Creating mood, shape, and trend boards.
• Testing and deciding on fabrics, colors, patterns, and textures for each design
• Drafting sketches for new products with the researched data
• Use technology to develop electronic prototypes of designs to show clients what the end product will look like.
• Supervising the entire production process
Skills:
• Critical thinking approach to concept development
• Adobe Creative Suite – especially Illustrator & InDesign
Qualification:
• A bachelor's degree in design or fine arts or a college degree in fashion design or a related field will be preferable
• Don't worry if you don't have formal education or a degree; we will also consider applicants who believe there is always something that you can deliver, regardless of background.
