We are looking for a Fashion Design & Development Intern who understands garment construction, pattern-making, and design execution. This role is perfect for someone passionate about creating unique silhouettes, working hands-on with pattern masters, and bringing innovative fashion concepts to life.
What Youll Do
Garment Construction & Pattern Development Work closely with pattern masters to translate creative designs into technically sound patterns, ensuring the best fit and structure.
Design Execution Assist in refining designs by understanding draping, fabric behavior, and technical adjustments needed for production.
Style Innovation Experiment with silhouettes, cuts, and construction techniques to develop new, statement-making designs.
Material & Fabric Sourcing Help source the right fabrics, trims, and accessories that align with Sielles vision and quality standards.
Sample Development & Fit Adjustments Oversee the sample-making process, ensuring designs are executed flawlessly and making necessary refinements for final production.
Vision Communication Act as a bridge between the creative vision and technical execution, effectively communicating design details to pattern masters and tailors.
Trend & Technique Research Stay updated with global fashion trends, innovative garment construction techniques, and experimental designs.
Who You Are
A designer with a strong technical foundation You understand pattern-making, draping, and garment construction beyond just sketching.
Detail-oriented You can spot and refine fit issues, fabric mismatches, and construction inconsistencies.
Communicative & Collaborative You can effectively explain design concepts to pattern masters, tailors, and the production team.
Innovative & Experimental You love exploring new styles, fabric manipulations, and avant-garde silhouettes.
Fashion-forward & Passionate You keep up with runway trends, emerging designers, and cutting-edge fashion techniques.
Proficient in design tools Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CLO 3D, or other fashion tech software is a plus.
