JCC Greater Boston Seeks Fashion Design Instructor

We are proud to offer a unique opportunity for a talented Fashion Design Instructor to join our team at JCC Greater Boston. As a member of our staff, you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children while sharing your passion for fashion and design.

About the Position

• Hourly position with a daily schedule of 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday.

• Teach fashion design and costuming classes for children entering grades 4 - 8 this summer.

• Share your expertise in up-cycling, sewing, and more in a dynamic and engaging way.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead creative activities that promote learning and fun.

• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all campers.

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth and enjoyable summer program.

Requirements:

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.

• College degree, concentration or equivalent experience in fashion, arts or related field preferred.

• 1+ season (summer camp, semester, other) instructor experience planning and leading sewing, costuming, or fashion-related projects and classes for children.

• Portfolio or examples of projects preferred.

Salary: $17 per hour, with opportunities for advancement based on performance and qualifications.
