Key Responsibilities:
• Create mood boards to show to clients
• Research, plan and develop ranges, often based on a theme
• Work with others in the design team to develop products to meet a brief
• Liaise closely with buying and production teams to ensure items suit customer needs
• Develop fabrics, prints, embroidery, and technical specifications
• Manage pre-production activities, including fit testing and sampling
• Conduct product planning meetings with factories
• Approve lab dips before bulk procurement
• Understand cost structures and consumption patterns
• Visit trade shows to source fabrics and materials
• Adapt designs for mass production
• Oversee production and ensure quality control
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years of experience as a senior designer or in a manufacturing industry
NOTES:
• Ethnic wear designers are preferred
• Candidates with freelancing or boutique experience should be avoided
