About the Role
We're looking for an individual who embodies ethnic fashion and is passionate about hand-drawn designs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
• Conceptualizing and designing innovative, heritage-inspired blouses
• Creating intricate hand-drawn sketches for new collections
• Collaborating with product and sampling teams to bring concepts to life
• Staying updated on ethnic trends, embroidery, and fabric innovations
• Working closely with sourcing and production teams to ensure design feasibility and quality output
Requirements
To excel in this role, you'll need:
• 2-5 years of experience in fashion design (preferably in ethnic wear)
• A strong ability in hand sketching and freehand illustration
• A degree in Fashion Design or a related field (preferred)
• An understanding of blouse fits, silhouettes, fabric detailing, and embellishments
• A keen eye for detail, color combinations, and ethnic design sensibilities
Bonus Requirements
If you have experience working with saree or ethnic apparel brands or a passion for reviving traditional crafts through contemporary silhouettes, that's a definite plus!
