Job Summary:
As a Fashion Designer at Craft and Glory, you will lead the creative vision for our leather goods and upcoming apparel collections, blending timeless designs with innovative techniques. You will work closely with our team of skilled artisans to design premium leather jackets, footwear, accessories, and clothing that reflect our brand’s heritage and commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development
• Research and analyze industry trends, customer preferences, and historical inspirations to create innovative, timeless designs for clothing, leather jackets, boots, and accessories.
• Conceptualize and develop seasonal collections, including sketches, mood boards, and color palettes, ensuring alignment with the brand’s identity.
• Select premium materials, including selvedge denim, full-grain leather, linings, and trims, to ensure quality and functionality in every design.
• Collaborate with artisans to produce high-quality prototypes, refining designs for fit, durability, and style.
Collaboration and Coordination
• Work closely with production teams to ensure design feasibility, cost-efficiency, and adherence to timelines.
• Partner with marketing and merchandising teams to develop cohesive campaigns that highlight the craftsmanship and story behind each product.
• Attend design reviews and fittings, making necessary adjustments to achieve perfection in every piece.
Brand Vision and Innovation
• Incorporate historical and cultural influences into designs to maintain Craft and Glory’s heritage-focused appeal.
• Explore and implement sustainable practices in material sourcing and production methods.
• Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and techniques to bring innovation to the brand’s offerings.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in designing premium clothing, leather goods or apparel.
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools.
• In-depth understanding of leather types, garment construction, and artisanal techniques.
Soft Skills
• Strong creative vision with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in designing clothing, leather jackets, boots, or accessories for heritage or premium brands.
• Knowledge of sustainable fashion practices and material sourcing.
• A portfolio showcasing designs that reflect timeless style and exceptional craftsmanship.
