Duties

Develop prototypes and oversee garment construction processes, ensuring designs are feasible for production.
Collaborate with merchandising teams to plan seasonal collections and ensure alignment with market demands.
Manage the product lifecycle from initial concept through final production, including fittings and adjustments.
Use garment construction techniques and sewing machine skills to refine designs and troubleshoot construction issues.
Conduct trend research by analyzing fashion styling, graphic design elements, and theater influences to inspire innovative collections.
Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and pattern makers to ensure quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
Stay informed about industry developments in fashion retail, merchandising strategies, and emerging design tools.
Experience
Proven experience in fashion design or a related field with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), CAD programs, and other design software.
Solid understanding of product lifecycle management from concept development to production.
Hands-on garment construction experience including sewing techniques and working with sewing machines.
Knowledge of color theory, fabric selection, pattern making, and illustration skills.
Familiarity with fashion styling trends, graphic design elements, and theatrical influences that inspire innovative design ideas.
Experience working within the fashion retail environment is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills to articulate design concepts clearly across teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
