Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Garment Making and Fashion Designing Trainer to deliver skill-based training under DDUGKY Skill Development Projects in Meerut. The trainer will be responsible for importing industry-relevant knowledge and practical skills to youth, preparing them for employment in the garment and apparel sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver theoretical and practical training in Garment Making and Fashion Designing
Train candidates in:
Basic & advanced stitching techniques
Pattern making and garment construction
Fabric knowledge and selection
Fashion illustration (basic)
Cutting, sewing, finishing, and quality control
Use of industrial sewing machines and related tools
Follow NSQF / SSC / DDUGKY-aligned curriculum
Prepare lesson plans, training material, and daily session plans
Ensure hands-on practice and skill-based learning
Conduct assessments, mock tests, and practical evaluations
Maintain trainee attendance, progress reports, and documentation
Support trainees with:
Employability skills
Self-employment / entrepreneurship guidance
Ensure discipline, safety, and inclusiveness in the classroom
Coordinate with Project Coordinator for reporting
Assist during audits, inspections, and placement activities
Eligibility & Qualifications:
Diploma / Degree in Fashion Designing / Garment Technology / Apparel Designing
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage and motivate youth from diverse backgrounds
Experience Required:
Minimum 2–5 years of industry experience in Garment Making / Fashion Designing
Prior experience in skill development / DDUGKY / vocational training projects will be an added advantage
Skills Required:
Practical knowledge of fashion designing/ garment making operations
Training & facilitation skills
Knowledge of safety and quality standards
Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
