Fashion Designer cum Production Manager

Position Summary
The Fashion Designer cum Production Manager will be responsible for designing seasonal collections, developing new products, coordinating sampling, managing production activities, ensuring quality standards, and delivering finished products within planned timelines. The role requires a blend of creative design skills and strong production management capabilities to support the company's retail and wholesale business operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesA. Fashion Design Responsibilities
• Research market trends, customer preferences, seasonal fashion forecasts, colors, fabrics, prints, and silhouettes.
• Develop new apparel collections, concepts, and product ranges aligned with the brand identity.
• Create design sketches, technical drawings, specifications, and mood boards.
• Select fabrics, trims, embellishments, embroidery techniques, and accessories.
• Coordinate with merchandisers, vendors, and sampling teams for prototype development.
• Conduct sample reviews and make necessary design modifications.
• Ensure designs meet cost targets and commercial viability requirements.
• Maintain design records, fabric libraries, and product development documentation.
• Support visual merchandising and product presentation requirements.
• Work closely with sales and marketing teams during product launches.
B. Production Management Responsibilities
• Plan and monitor production schedules to ensure timely order completion.
• Coordinate with cutting, stitching, embroidery, finishing, packing, and dispatch teams.
• Allocate production targets and monitor daily output.
• Manage job work vendors, karigars, contractors, and production units.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
• Track production status and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Monitor wastage control and production efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards at every production stage.
• Coordinate procurement requirements with purchase and inventory teams.
• Resolve production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
C. Quality & Compliance
• Establish quality checkpoints during production.
• Conduct quality inspections for fabric, cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing.
• Ensure products meet approved specifications.
• Maintain compliance with company SOPs and industry standards.
• Minimize rejection rates and customer complaints.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
