We are seeking a talented and creative Product developer and designer with 2-3 years of experience in product development and designing to join our team at Vatsal Exports. The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of the relationship between price and product development and have the ability to bring creative concepts to life while maintaining a keen eye for detail and commercial viability.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development:
• Create and maintain seasonal product line boards using Adobe Illustrator and Acrobat.
• Prepare and maintain tech packs, including detailed product specifications, spec drawings, materials, and color direction.
• Execute the full development of the collection, from initial creative direction to final commercialized apparel.
Trend Analysis and Design:
• Identify and interpret fashion trends into commercial designs.
• Research and curate inspiration, trends, and color boards for future product line development.
• Analyze and monitor competitive products, industry trends, and consumer product trends to identify market opportunities.
Collaboration and Communication:
• Effectively communicate product concepts within the company and with colleagues.
• Ensure that product designs align with our brand's visual identity and meet business objectives for the product range.
• Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Technical Skills:
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop.
• Knowledge of fabrics and trims, sourcing, material and product specs, garment construction, pattern making, related testing, and costing.
Project Management:
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Work under tight timelines in a team environment.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a strong dedication to accuracy.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in fashion design and product development.
• Proven ability to create original design sketches and develop visual aids and presentation materials.
