Job Title: Fashion Designer Intern

Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the design process, creating collections or specific pieces for the brand according to the needs, style, and target market delivering sketches, technical drawings and sometimes even prototypes for approval before production. This role requires a strong sense of fashion trends, fabric knowledge, and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities in Fashion Designing:
• Assist in creating trendy and market-driven fashion designs.
• Develop mood boards, sketches, and technical drawings.
• Research fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and prints.
• Work closely with senior designers on seasonal collections.
• Create design samples and prototypes for approval.
Merchandising:
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors to source fabrics and trims.
• Assist in product costing, pricing, and inventory management.
• Maintain and update records of materials, samples, and production schedules.
• Ensure timely follow-up with suppliers and production teams to meet deadlines.
• Conduct quality checks on samples and final products.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in fashion design and merchandising (freshers with strong portfolios may apply).
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW.
• Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and production processes.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
• Passion for fashion and a keen eye for trends.
