Role and Responsibilities:
• Create original designs for children's apparel, considering age-appropriateness and safety.
• Stay informed about current fashion trends in children's wear.
• Develop sketches, mood boards, and technical drawings to visualize and document designs.
• Choose fabrics, colors, patterns, and trims suitable for children's clothing.
• Oversee the creation of sample garments and participate in fittings to ensure proper fit and functionality.
• Work with production teams to ensure designs are accurately reproduced.
• Communicate with suppliers, manufacturers, and other team members, maintaining organized design files and documentation.
Candidate Profile:
• Bachelors degree in textile design, fashion design, textile engineering with 5+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in Excel/MS Office, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience with creating tech packs, technical drawings, size charts, and fabric selection is crucial.
