Duties
• Develop original clothing designs based on current trends and customer preferences.
• Create detailed sketches and technical specifications using CAD software and Adobe Illustrator.
• Construct garments using sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes.
• Collaborate with the production team to oversee the manufacturing process, ensuring designs are executed accurately.
• Conduct fittings and make adjustments as needed to achieve the desired fit and style.
• Stay updated on fashion trends, fabrics, and techniques to continuously innovate designs.
• Work closely with fashion retail teams to align designs with market demands.
• Participate in fashion shows or theater productions as needed, providing creative input for costumes or themed collections.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in fashion design or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Illustrator and CAD software.
• Solid understanding of garment construction techniques and sewing skills.
• Experience in fashion retail is a plus, along with knowledge of current market trends.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate design concepts effectively.
• A passion for fashion and creativity, with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
