Fashion Designer/Illustrator for Modest Women’s Dress Line

Hello!

My name is Megan, and I’m the founder of a new women’s clothing company called Gowns for the Motherland, a modest, faith-based fashion brand with a mission to bring dignity, femininity, and beauty back into everyday wear—especially for women of faith and mothers who want to dress with purpose.

We’re currently in the early design and development stage of our launch collection, and I’m looking for a fashion designer or illustrator who can help bring our dress concepts to life visually. These sketches will serve as a foundation for future pattern-making, manufacturing, and branding.

👗 What I’m Looking For:

I need someone who can take my ideas—either written descriptions, reference photos, or hand-drawn sketches—and turn them into professional illustrations that reflect:

• Modest, traditional style (think classic dresses, longer hems, covered shoulders, timeless details)

• Feminine silhouettes that are flattering but respectful

• Faith-based inspiration—think dignified, graceful, and purposeful designs

• Practical wearability for everyday women and mothers

• Plus-size awareness (not all designs need to be plus-size, but I’d like the designs to consider different body shapes and not only slim-fit)

🎨 Deliverables:

• 3 to 5 concept dress illustrations (initially)

• Each with at least a front view, and preferably a back view

• Hand-drawn or digital accepted (clean and clear preferred)

• Optional: color, annotations, or fabric callouts if you’re comfortable

• Files in JPG or PNG format, or layered files if available

• Turnaround time: flexible, ideally within 1–2 weeks of project start

If we’re a good fit, I’m open to working long-term on future designs, including developing a full collection or working toward creating tech packs for production.
