Job Description
We are looking for Fast Food cook to join our small team at the Ottoman Ashburton. We take pride in serving our customers delicious and authentic Turkish cuisine. You will be working under direct supervision of our highly skilled staff and will report to them and othermanagement team as well.
You will be assisting other team members by:
Ability to cook under the direction of the Chef.
Ability to cook fried food via the commercial fryers
Washing, cutting, measuring and mixing foods for cooking
Monitoring and maintaining consistency in food quality, hygiene and service
Freezing and preserving foods
Taking and serving food orders, and receiving payments from customers
Packing food, wrapping it, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
Operating kitchen equipment’s such as grills, microwaveand deep-fat fryers etc
General cleaning of kitchen area including hoods, fryers etc
Washing dishes when required
Any other relevant tasks assigned to you from time to time
You will need the following skills:
Able to work under pressure
Able to work on weekends and public holidays
Physically fit
Good communication skills
Ability to work in a team
Some relevant work experience preferred but not essential – full training will be provided
Well organized and passionate about the job
Must have clean criminal history
Must pass pre-employment checks if required

Hours of work: Min 30 to max 45 hours per week
