Role profile:

In line with LSE Group expectations Financial Content Operations we are building a risk centred organisation who can assess and report against the current state of our operational real-estate used in the management of data content. This will involve assessing all attributes of risk that apply and the controls required to handle risks as a daily component of the work we undertake.

This role will work with a large cross functional team and associated partners to implement the central group risk policies and work with audit teams to enact improvements and risk management activities as required. Instilling a culture of risk will necessitate independent thinking about how various initiatives will apply to individual specific content sets in partnership with the business and operational partners.

ROLE SUMMARY:
• This role will evolve the maturity of Financial Content Operations Risk policy adoption in preparation for DORA and future regulatory requirements whilst meeting wider LSEG Risk policy obligations.
• Translating business or organisational risk requirements into actionable specifications for FCO and relevant partners.
• Aligning to common standards around data risk and risk management strategies ensuring that standard methodologies are in place to present information about FCO real-estate (data, databases, data flows, sources, and processes) to any interested parties.
• Support the Operations user community through use of domain specific risk expertise to ensure that all mechanisms to assess and report the progress of FCO risk management adoption.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
• Working with Risk Champions, 2LOD, Content Operations and Managers to implement LSEG Group Operating Policies.
• Prepare for annual resiliency business case submissions and working with partner organisations to ensure action plans are in motion.
• Analysing service incidents, outages, process failures and other risk events to build control mechanisms.
• Report on status of maturity on Risk curve through activities such as control assurance definition and testing
• Simplify the overall support effort for FCO risk management functions.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• An ability to apply critical thinking when assessing the implications of risks on Financial Content Operations
• Evidence of strong understanding for at least 2 datasets inside FCO
• Present information in logical, concise, contextual way which engages all partner groups.
• SQL, Python, PowerBI skills desirable
• Demonstrated passion and understanding of what Risk means for an operational organisation
• Proven skills for influencing others and building strong partnerships with key personnel at all levels of the group
• Knowledge of risk and controls processes.
