About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and professional female Support Worker to provide Specialised, one-on-one support for a young participant living in Logan Reserve, QLD. This casual role averages 10–15 hours per week with flexible scheduling and will focus on both daily living assistance and light cleaning support.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Providing physical and emotional support to the participant, including assistance with daily household tasks (cleaning, maintaining a tidy environment, laundry, etc.).
Delivering personal care support, with a focus on hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Assisting with self-care tasks, including support with menstrual hygiene (full support required).
Administering medication as needed, in accordance with participant care plans.
Caring for household pets (chickens and a dog), both indoors and in the backyard.
Encouraging and supporting the participant in developing daily living and social skills, always mindful of difficulties in interpreting social and non-verbal cues associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Attending to the client's needs as they arise, fostering a safe, empowering, and inclusive atmosphere.
Accurately maintaining records of daily activities, medication administration, and observations for the participant’s care team.
Working collaboratively with allied health practitioners and family as part of the participant’s support team.
Essential Requirements:
Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent qualification).
Australian Drivers License and regular access to a vehicle.
Current First Aid Certificate.
NDIS Worker Screening Check and NDIS Training Certificate.
Working With Children Check (WWCC).
Current Police Check.
Covid-19 vaccination certificate/proof.
Right to work in Australia.
Must be willing to work in a household
Previous 12-month support work experience is desirable but not essential.
Availability for night shifts if required.
