About The Position

Council is looking for a Festivals and Major Events Officer within the Arts and Culture Department who will be responsible for assisting with the successful planning and delivering of Council-run festivals and major events, positioning Frankston as an arts, culture, and event destination. Your main responsibilities will include:

Providing event administration and operational support to the broader team, including preparation of reports and presentations.
Providing advice and guidance to external event organisers looking to run their events in Frankston City, via the event application process.
Assisting with implementing new systems and processes and identifying efficiencies.

About You

Formal qualification in Event Management, or a related field and/or substantial years of relevant experience in Event Management.
You thrive in a creative space, enjoy problem solving, and demonstrate initiative.
You have exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
You enjoy a fast-paced environment and contributing to all facets of event planning and delivery including the demands required on event days.
Current Victorian Drivers Licence.

This position is a Band 5A currently remunerated at $80,750.44 per annum, plus superannuation.
