We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Field Application Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting, pre and post sales, our customers in the safety-critical aerospace market.
Job Summary:
As a Field Application Engineer (FAE), you will be the technical expert and primary point of contact for our customers, pre and post sales, in the safety-critical market. You will work closely with our sales, engineering, and product teams to understand customer requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure the successful integration and deployment of our solutions. Your expertise in safety-critical systems, aerospace regulations, and application engineering will be crucial in driving customer satisfaction and contributing to the growth of our business in this specialized market.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the key technical advisor and subject matter expert for our aerospace customers, understanding their unique safety-critical requirements and challenges.
Collaborate with the sales team to support pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, product demonstrations, and feasibility studies, to win new business opportunities in the aerospace market.
Work closely with the engineering team to ensure the timely resolution of customer issues and provide feedback for product improvements and enhancements.
Conduct in-depth technical discussions and workshops with customers to assess their needs and propose tailored solutions that meet safety-critical standards and regulations.
Support the customers with installation, integration, and validation of our products in their aerospace systems, ensuring compliance with industry-specific safety guidelines.
Provide on-site support for critical projects and system testing, assisting customers with debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with third-party partners to provide an integrated solution for our common customers.
Develop and deliver technical training sessions and workshops for customers and internal teams, sharing best practices and insights related to safety-critical aerospace applications.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in safety-critical systems, aerospace regulations, and emerging technologies to provide valuable inputs for product roadmap planning and business strategy.
Maintain a thorough understanding of our competitors’ offerings and market trends, identifying opportunities to differentiate our products and services in the aerospace market.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience as a Field Application Engineer, Application Engineer, or a related role in the aerospace industry with a focus on safety-critical applications.
Strong expertise in safety-critical systems, avionics, and aerospace regulations (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160, etc.).
Familiarity with aerospace communication protocols, data buses, and system architectures commonly used in safety-critical applications.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites and collaborate with global teams.
Strong customer focus, with a passion for delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with safety-critical certifications (e.g., FAA, EASA, etc.).
Knowledge of embedded systems, real-time operating systems, and software development for aerospace applications.
Familiarity with industry-standard tools used for aerospace system design, simulation, and validation.
Previous experience in a customer-facing role, supporting complex technical projects in the aerospace market.
