Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Face-to-Face Collection Agent. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting payments from customers by engaging with them in person. Your primary objective will be to effectively communicate, negotiate while maintaining positive relationships with customers.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a professional and empathetic approach while communicating with customers, ensuring that their concerns are addressed appropriately.
Develop strategies to establish payment plans or alternative solutions tailored to the individual financial circumstances of customers.
Document all customer interactions, payment agreements, and relevant information accurately and thoroughly.
Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations regarding debt collection practices to ensure compliance at all times.
Provide regular reports on collection activities, progress, and challenges to the management team.
Continuously strive to meet or exceed collection targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the organization.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information with utmost care and professionalism.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in finance, accounting, or related fields are a plus.
Proven experience as a collection agent, preferably in a face-to-face collection setting.
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to handle challenging conversations effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills to establish rapport and build trust with customers.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet collection targets.
Solid understanding of debt collection laws, regulations, and best practices.
Proficient computer skills to document customer interactions and navigate collection software or tools.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation.
Professional demeanor and the ability to handle difficult or confrontational situations with tact and composure.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to customer locations.
