Position Overview:
The Field Officer will be responsible for scouting and identifying potential leads, building relationships with farmers, distributors, and key stakeholders, and introducing them to our company, products, and their unique features. This role requires hands-on fieldwork, strong communication skills, and a passion for the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities:
_ 1. Lead Scouting & Development:_
a. Identify and engage with potential leads such as farmers, dealers, distributors, and business partners within assigned regions.
b. Conduct market visits, surveys, and on-ground research to identify opportunities for product promotion and sales growth.
2. Product Promotion & Awareness:
a. Educate potential customers about the company, its product line, and the benefits of its features.
b. Demonstrate the use, quality, and performance of agricultural implements and tools.
c. Distribute promotional materials, catalogs, and product samples where applicable.
3. Relationship Building:
a. Develop and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agricultural co operatives, dealers, and local influencers.
b. Act as the primary point of contact for all on-ground queries.
4. Data Collection & Reporting:
a. Gather customer feedback, insights, and market intelligence to support business decisions.
b. Maintain daily reports on customer visits, leads generated, and progress updates.
c. Share valuable insights regarding competitor activities and customer demands.
5. Sales Support:
a. Collaborate with the sales team to drive inquiries and conversions into successful deals. b. Support in on-ground campaigns, demos, and local exhibitions or events.
6. Customer Satisfaction:
a. Address any concerns or queries from potential leads and ensure a positive customer experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
Prior experience in fieldwork, lead generation, or sales (1-3 years).
Familiarity with tractor or farm implements or of the agricultural sector is a strong plus.
