Job Description
AGS Irrigation is seeking interest for Snr Field Officer and Field Officer positions for suitably qualified, experienced, and enthusiastic crew members to join our successful team. Work will include land surveying, design and executing irrigation systems in the field, small and large-scale projects planning and supervising needed
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Carry out field surveys on farms to understand the landscape before installing the drip irrigation
• Design and make the drip irrigation system that will best suit the area.
• Help in improving the water and soil conservation methods in the farm.
• Teach the farmers about the various types of drip irrigations and which ones will give them high yields.
• Derive and create information that will help farmers irrigate their farms.
• Surveylencing the drip irrigation system on the farm.
• Advice on proper drip irrigation systems.
• Plan and suggest efficient drip irrigation systems.
Skills and Specification:
• Good understanding of soils and water conservation.
• Ability to establish and maintain good and healthy working conditions with fellow farm workers.
• Be able to read and interpret instructions and write simple reports.
Education and Qualifications:
• At least be a high school graduate, any trade or professional training in agriculture and farming is an added advantage.
• Two years of experience in the field is an added advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
