Job Description
Alfa Wassermann Separation Technologies is the leader in continuous flow ultracentrifugation supporting several medical industries. These ultracentrifuges are used to create life saving vaccines that have a profound positive impact on society.
Responsibilities:
Domestic and International Travel is a firm requirement. (30 – 60%)
Capable of lifting loads up to 70 lbs.
Repairing centrifuge systems and other supporting equipment for the pharmaceutical industry, primarily focused on flu vaccines.
Work in conjunction with engineering and production to ensure effective system repairs, production and testing.
Assisting with research and development.
Assisting with production.
Installing and troubleshooting software applications.
Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, such as field wiring pumps, & 4-20mA sensors.
Support Sales, Production and Engineering through the entire product cycle (evaluate and recommend improvements).
Train customers on how to use AW equipment.
Record, document and organize all work and procedures.
Perform other duties as required.
Education: Preferred, but not required: College Associated degree in one of the following; Electrical, Mechanical or Software.
Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience working in field service, production or manufacturing environment, medical device industry experience is a significant plus.
MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word) proficiency is a must.
Must be a strong team player who enjoys interacting with customers.
Bonus but not required, multilingual speaker (Spanish, French, Dutch and/or Portuguese)
