Job Description
As the customer base continues to grow and expand throughout Australia, Liebherr Maritime Cargo & Construction Division is seeking an experienced and motivated Field Service Technician. Reporting to the Technical Manager this role is responsible for Field Service work on multiple types of cranes including harbour mobile, crawler and gantry cranes, plus occasional drilling and piling equipment. The predominant regions covered are Wollongong to Newcastle and at times throughout Australia. The role is hands on and practical, ideal for someone who is motivated and eager to promote the Liebherr brand and lead the way as best in class
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul heavy equipment
Major and minor services
Diagnostics and troubleshooting of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical systems
Inspect and test electrical and instrumentation systems and components
Routine maintenance, repairs, and component replacements
Expand and maintain customer relationships in the field
Complete service reporting and manufacturers documentation
About you
Trade qualified in Auto Electrical or Diesel / Mobile Plant Mechanic or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work over-time as required
Capable of working independently in the field, problem solving in various situations.
Crane industry experience desirable, although not a requirement
Ability to fault find and rectify hydraulic, mechanical and electrical issues
A current driver’s license
Commitment to maintain, and adhere to safety guidelines in the workplace
