Field Service Technician – Visy Automation
Location: Campbellfield, VIC

The Opportunity
Our Visy Automation team in Campbellfield is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician (Electrical) to deliver technical services to customers. In this hands-on role, you will support machine installations, conduct scheduled maintenance, and provide troubleshooting and repairs across automation systems including PLCs, robotics, and servo drives.
Reporting to the Field Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring high-performing machinery and customer satisfaction through timely, professional service and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
Perform electrical service, installation, and repair work on Visy Automation and third-party equipment.
Deliver PLC, touchscreen, and robotics programming/modifications as needed.
Interpret AutoCAD circuit diagrams and recommend system improvements.
Provide training to customer personnel on equipment operations and maintenance.
Complete detailed service reports, including part numbers and recommendations.
Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective outcomes.
Maintain compliance with OHSE standards across all customer and internal sites.
What You Will Bring to the Team
Electrical Trade Qualification with a current Victorian A Grade Electrical Licence.
5+ years of post-trade experience in manufacturing, packaging, or a related industry.
Proficiency with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Omron), robotics, and AutoCAD.
Strong communication skills, customer service focus, and a solutions mindset.
Experience with SEW AC/DC drives and mechanical aptitude highly regarded.
Flexibility to travel interstate (and occasionally internationally) as required.
Certifications & Licences
Mandatory: A Grade Electrical Licence (Victoria), Working at Heights, Confined Space (or willingness to obtain).
Desirable: Robotics experience (ABB preferred), post-trade qualifications in pneumatics, hydraulics, or engineering.
