Introduction to the Role
Perform and coordinate service activities for machines, spares, and wears. Provide technical services to customers in conjunction with our sales team.
Team You Will Belong To
You will join a team of high-achieving Service Technicians providing technical liaison services between customers, product divisions, and sales personnel.
This team works collectively and autonomously based on customer site needs and requires site-based work.

Responsibilities
Provide technical liaison services between customers, product divisions, and sales personnel.
Perform technical evaluations and analyze new and existing equipment failures, applying them to testing and implementation of engineering projects.
Provide hands-on mechanical service work in the field to Metso customers.
Supervise and oversee Field Service projects on customer sites.
Complete field machine inspections according to global and customer procedures.
Evaluate questions and analysis to Technical Support and Engineering.
Prepare post-site reports, time sheets, and expenses after site visits.
Support quotation work by providing scope of work, initial planning, and costing information.
Promote Technical Support value add and support Technical Support Teams.
Support warranty process and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) where applicable.
Promote sales of OEM spare parts and wears material components.
Identify equipment in the field at customer sites not in our installed base and provide data for input into our CRM system.
To Be Successful in This Role
A Mechanical trade qualification from college or technical school; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in Mining industries working with Grinding Mills, and ideally Flotation and Thickeners.
Basic computer literacy in MS Office – Word and Excel.
Current motor vehicle license.
Ability to pass random medical and drug tests.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
Ability to work away from home for extended periods and hours, on weekends, or as required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
