School Cinema (schoolcinema.lxl.in) is looking for a passionate, sincere media professional to join our team in Mumbai! We create short fiction films for children, focusing on life skills and emotional values. With a strong emphasis on film pedagogy, we collaborate with filmmakers year-round to bring impactful films to schools across India. We also organise the School Cinema International Film festival (SCIFF) which reached out to 26000 schools in 2026. School Cinema is the recipient of 7 National Awards and over 500 International Festival selections.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Assisting in:
• The development and production process of School Cinema films.
• The ideation and conceptualization of School Cinema and SCIFF brand activities.
• Film curation, programming, and festival management for SCIFF.
2. Supervising
• Pre-production, production, and post-production processes outsourced to various filmmakers and production houses.
• Communications with clients and vendors for School Cinema and SCIFF.
3. Shooting and Editing videos for School Cinema
• Managing the technical requirements of the film department, including shooting, editing, and related tasks.
• Overseeing the AV-related requirements for LXL Ideas.
Experience:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Media Communication.
• 2-4 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry.
• Proficient understanding of the basic filmmaking process.
Skills:
• Prior experience in shooting with DSLR cameras and proficiency in using editing software.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.
• Strong skills in communication and coordination.
Work:
Full time position in Powai, Mumbai.
