Prairie Engineers, P.C. is seeking one or more Field Survey Technicians to join our team.

Prairie Engineers is a growing company, looking to add multiple Field Survey Technicians to assist primarily with surveying projects at locations nationwide. This isn't an easy position; we work long days in sometimes harsh conditions, but we also take pride in completing larger and more complex projects than our peers. This full-time position is available to be filled in our Columbia IL, Hillsboro IL, Springfield IL, Washington IL, Hannibal MO, Hazelwood MO, Keokuk IA, or Lenexa KS offices with paid travel expenses and a per diem allowance for meals, generous benefits and a competitive salary based on qualifications.
What You Will Have
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Communication: Good verbal and written skills
Ideals: Professional, positive attitude with a strong work ethic
Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Responsive: Communicate openly, proactively, and promptly
Safety: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Travel: The ability to travel for extended durations and on short notice
What You Might Add
Education: Associate Degree in civil engineering technology (or a related field)
Experience: 2 years of experience as a surveying technician
Certifications: Certified Survey Technician Certification
Software: Knowledge of various CADD or GIS software packages
What You Will Do
Perform field surveys including hydrographic, topographic, control, and boundary surveys
Utilize technology including operating cutting-edge survey equipment and a wide variety of high-tech sensors and methods
Ability to travel, often on short notice, and work safely in various locations and all types of weather conditions
Maintain focus on project delivery and client service with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
