Job Description
As a Field Technician , you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality ready mix concrete to our customers' construction sites. You will be responsible for overseeing concrete placement, conducting quality control checks, and providing technical support to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate with dispatchers and drivers to schedule timely delivery of ready mix concrete to project sites according to customer orders and specifications.
2. Conduct pre-delivery inspections of concrete mixers, pumps, and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition and comply with safety standards.
3. Monitor concrete placement activities at construction sites to ensure proper handling, pouring, and finishing techniques are employed to achieve desired results.
4. Perform on-site quality control tests, such as slump tests, air content tests, and temperature monitoring, to verify the consistency and workability of the concrete.
5. Communicate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address any concerns or special requirements related to concrete delivery, placement, or performance.
6. Troubleshoot equipment issues or operational challenges encountered during concrete delivery and placement, and coordinate with maintenance or technical teams for resolution.
7. Provide technical guidance and support to field personnel regarding proper concrete handling, placement techniques, and adherence to safety protocols.
8. Document delivery activities, test results, and any incidents or deviations encountered during the concrete placement process for reporting and analysis purposes.
+. Collaborate with quality control and assurance teams to ensure that delivered concrete meets specified requirements and quality standards.
10. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and customer service excellence among field personnel through training, coaching, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in concrete delivery, construction, or related field operations preferred.
- Knowledge of concrete materials, mix designs, and placement techniques.
- Familiarity with construction equipment, such as concrete mixers, pumps, and finishing tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, contractors, and team members effectively.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing work environments and schedules.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
