Responsibilities

Our client is seeking a Field Tech responsible for building, testing, installing, and maintaining equipment and standards within our industries

The Field Technician will work in the shop building or testing some of the equipment they will eventually commission and startup in the field

Follow "Safety Procedures and Policies”

Kitting the job from its bill of material

Staging the job in an area designated by the shop lead

Review the drawings for errors and omissions before starting the build process

Reporting any errors or omissions immediately to the shop lead

Assist team members to safely handle large projects

Maintain UL508A standards

Assist in the testing and shipping of completed jobs

Follow clients quality standards

Follow "Safety Procedures and Policies”

Obtaining and maintaining the necessary knowledge in the following fields:

VFD commissioning and startup

Field instrumentation commissioning and startup

Basic knowledge of multiple PLC lines

Site specific safety and access requirements

Diagnose equipment issues independently or connected remotely with process engineer

Keep your gear in proper working order

Understand any site assigned task before traveling to the site

Assist in site commissioning and startup

Panel wiring, diagnostics, and startup

Instrument wiring, diagnostics, and startup

Network diagnostics and startup

Establish remote connections with Programming Engineer to address challenging diagnostic issues

The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 80 pounds unassisted

Must be safety and customer-focused, without exception

Required safety equipment: Metatarsal boots, ARC-flash rated clothing, protective eyewear, gloves, hard hat, and hearing protection

Responsibilities include:
