Job Description
As the Field Technician, you will be accountable for ensuring the execution of the department mission, and the overall mission and vision of Abra Controls Inc.
Responsibilities
Field Duties
It is the Field Technicians responsibility to arrive to the shop with enough time to get their truck packed and fueled up in order to make it to the site at the arranged time. If there is no arrangement made, all calls to operators are to be completed before leaving the shop
Tool and vehicle inspections must be completed prior to and after each job
Safely and efficiently locate, install, retrieve and troubleshoot equipment on site locations
It is the Field Technicians responsibility to keep communication with the Field Supervisor at all times. This communication refers to but is not limited to, your location, your departure time, any problems in the field and your arrival time at site and shop
During installations and retrievals, it is the Field Technicians responsibility to have all certifications and applicable documentation on them and keep communications with the Frac Supervisor and Well Operator
After ever installation and retrieval trucks must be return to the shop and cleaned appropriately
Demonstrate comprehensive, specialized knowledge of company’s products & services
Shop Duties
Assist in the upkeep of the office and shop, this includes but not limited to: sweeping after bringing in a muddy vehicle, putting garbage away/ taking it to the dumpster, putting PPE in its appropriate place.
All trucks must be emptied of all monitoring equipment after all installations and retrievals and returned to their designated areas. This includes but is not limited to monitors, gateways, tools, masts, phone and charger, GPS, batteries etc.
All items must be plugged in if need for the preparation of any upcoming jobs
Trucks must be washed (most importantly the wheel wells) after every shift unless your return time is after 6:00 pm, then it can be deferred to the following morning.
The trucks interior must be cleaned of any debris at all times. This includes but limited to, garbage, tools, paperwork, etc.
Used batteries are to set in the “to be charged area”, and when possible you are responsible to assist in battery rotation. Any unused batteries are to be placed back on the shelf.
All tools must be cleaned and taped before putting away in their designated areas
Any broken or questionable equipment is to be flagged appropriately, told to the Field Supervisor and placed in the designated area
On the return from a job, it is the Field Technicians responsibility to fuel the truck
Assist in any required transfers of equipment when needed
Assist in inventory tracking and logs when needed
Administrative Duties
It is the Field Technicians responsibility to notify the Field Supervisor of their current availability
Record and maintain all required log books, tool and vehicle inspections and safety report requirements on a daily basis
Complete all required safety and equipment related training
It is the responsibility of the Field Technician to record all fuel ups, track gas receipts and kilometers pertaining to each job
It is the Field Technicians responsibly to track their time, complete their timesheets and submit it to the Field Supervisor on time
Job Requirements
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma with 1+ years in related experience
First Aid & CPR
H2S Alive
Petroleum Safety Training
Class 5 Driver’s License & Clean Drivers Abstract
Proficient in G-mail/Google Drive/Google Calendar
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
