Finance Manager - Financial Control Team
About the Company:
JSS are working with a leading financial services business focussed on specialised lending products.
The Role:
They are seeking an financial accountant to support their finance function. This role encompasses both Business as Usual (BAU) reporting and process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the control environment. This is a Remote Opportunity only requiring attendance to the office twice per month.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the accurate and timely production of financial reports, adhering to robust controls.
• Manage (EIR) models and month-end journal entries.
• Perform detailed variance analysis, investigate trends, and manage accounting for fixed assets, leases, intercompany, and SPV accounting.
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of transactions in Oracle Fusion, with strong supporting documentation.
• Complete monthly reconciliations, ensuring issues are flagged and resolved.
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation and efficiency across financial control processes.
• Assist with statutory and interim audits, including preparing documentation and reviewing financial controls.
• Collaborate with the finance project team to drive the broader finance transformation agenda.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA) – Desirable
• Strong experience in financial control, including month-end reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Process improvement experience, with a demonstrated ability to identify and implement efficiencies.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficient in Oracle Fusion or similar financial systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with experience in building and streamlining work files.
