About the team
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment within a great, diverse, professional team, and contribute to the ongoing improvements in the section.

The team works closely with other areas in the CFO division, to deliver quality service and support to the Department.

The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join as an APS2 Finance/Administration Officer within the Chief Finance Officer Division. The role is part time and can be either ongoing or non-ongoing. The role is based in Canberra.

Please note - This role is being advertised as an Affirmative Measures recruitment under Section 33 of the Australian Public Service Commissioner’s Directions 2022. This vacancy is open only to people with autism spectrum disorder.

What you will do
In this role you will:


undertake simple data analysis.
undertake data entry.
Contribute to the operations of the work area.
undertake various administrative tasks as required.
Eligibility
This vacancy is open only to people with a specific type of disability - autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of their diagnosis to confirm their eligibility. More information about Affirmative Measures is available here .

To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.

Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.

Notes
This position will be offered as ongoing or non-ongoing.

If the position is offered as non-ongoing, this will be for a specified term of up to 12 months, with the possibility of extension of up to 18 months.

Should a non-ongoing position become ongoing, then a merit pool established through this selection process may be used to fill the vacancy on an ongoing basis.

A merit pool may be established and used to fill future vacancies within 18 months from the date the vacancy was first advertised in the Gazette.

The department does currently offer flexible work opportunities for many roles. This vacancy is ACT - Industry House based, although flexible or remote work arrangements may be considered. Please reach out to the contact officer to discuss this further.
