Salary Range: $52,162 - $64,153 per annum (6XC) (as of March 21, 2026)
The Liquor, Gaming and ******** Authority of Manitoba (LGCA) regulates the province’s liquor, gaming, cannabis, and horse racing industries. We license liquor sales, service and manufacturing, gaming employees, products and operations; retail ******** stores; and horse racing. We strive to serve the public through impartial regulation that prioritizes safety and fosters informed choices in these industries.
The LGCA is seeking a highly motivated individual to work within the Finance and Administration Unit. The Finance and Administration Unit is responsible for financial, office and fleet administration to ensure organizational stability and sustainability and to mitigate financial risk to the LGCA.
Candidates who do not meet all essential criteria and qualifications may be considered on an underfill basis at the pay grade [6XB]. In such cases, the candidate will be appointed at a lower classification and pay grade until the required qualifications are met (as of March 21, 2026).
Full working level salary range: $52,162 - $64,153 per annum (6XC)
Underfill salary range: $47,377 - $58,290 per annum (6XB)
Staff in underfill will perform duties with appropriate supervision and may be eligible for reclassification to the full working level upon demonstration of required competencies, experience, or qualifications, subject to approval and in accordance with the collective agreement.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have:
A certificate or diploma from a post-secondary institution in accounting and one to three years of administrative or clerical support experience in a financial area, preferably involving public sector and regulatory functions. A combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Knowledge and experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
Excellent data entry skills with a high level of numerical accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, suppliers, vendors, core government and other stakeholders.
Attention to detail, impartiality and sound judgment, with demonstrated problem-solving, decision- making and analytical skills.
Demonstrated political acumen and respect for others to handle sensitive and confidential matters.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong time management skills with the ability to plan, balance and manage multiple work demands and deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, especially Excel and other financial software [e.g. SAP or QuickBooks].
The following qualifications are desired:
Demonstrated experience working with SAP and Microsoft Great Business Central.
Proficiency in French.

Duties:
The Finance and Administration Clerk (Fleet) is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Finance and Administration Unit. The incumbent is primarily responsible for data-entry and administrative tasks related to fleet vehicles, as well as financial accounting and general building and supply administration.
Additional Information:
An eligibility list may be created for similar positions and will remain in effect for 12 months.

Satisfactory work performance in the preceding 12 months is required.
A satisfactory criminal record check is a condition of employment.
A valid Manitoba’s driver’s license, and satisfactory driver’s abstract.
