Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play an role in supporting daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, invoicing and assisting with various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments.

Support the reconciliation of bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy.

Process transactions and maintain accurate financial data within accounting software (QuickBooks)

Handle queries from clients and suppliers regarding invoices and payments.

Collaborate with the wider team (predominantly sales and shipping & logistics) to improve processes and enhance efficiency.

Collaborate with our external Accountants by supplying various reports and receipts

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information and adhere to compliance regulations.

Requirements

A background in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred but not essential.

Strong numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks is an advantage (although training is available to support you).

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach.

Enthusiastic, positive and enjoy working independently as well as part of a team to help build relationships and drive continuous improvement.
