Are you ready to make a real impact with your financial expertise? As our Finance Business Partner, you'll be at the heart of strategic decision-making, helping shape the future of our organisation. This is more than just a numbers role — you'll be the vital link between finance and the wider business, translating financial insights into actionable strategies. Working closely with diverse teams and stakeholders, you'll be a trusted advisor, uncovering opportunities, guiding financial planning, and ensuring we stay on track to achieve our mission. Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and work closely with the Finance Manager to consolidate the departmental budgets and forecasts into an integrated organisational budget, ensuring alignment with the overall financial plan and strategic objectives.

Prepare and present monthly management reports, forecasts and variance analyses.

Monitor grant/project budgets, funding and expenditure tracking

Liaise with research administration office to confirm deliverables and compliance timelines.

Prepare accurate and timely grant acquittals.

Prepare and analyse monthly management reports, highlighting variances, risks and opportunities.

Partner with Research Leaders and Business Unit Managers to provide financial insight and support decision-making.

What can you bring to this role?

Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.

Previous experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and financial management, preferably in a not-for-profit or charitable organisation.

Strong understanding of not-for-profit accounting principles.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.

Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.

Knowledge of financial systems and software (preferably with Adaptive Planning experience).
